I grew up in a modest working-class home in Germany as an immigrant from the Balkans. In school I was always the clown trying to make everyone laugh or the dreamer, seeing the magic in everything and everyone in life and all the possibilities there were around us. I was insatiably curious, questioning everything and asking way too many questions for my teachers taste. This combined with my immigrant background, made me feel like I never really fit into the world around me. Consequently, I had to work harder than others to reach my desired goals, which was quite hard and made me want to give up so many times. But when I was little, my mother thought me something that defined my whole life. Let me tell you, my mother has been my greatest life coach; she instilled in me the belief that everything is possible if you truly desire it.

Whenever I uttered the words, ‘I can't,’ my mother responded with, ‘There is nothing like ‘I can't,’ because you, my child, can literally do anything and everything: there is only ‘I won't’. This particular sentence has profoundly influenced me, shaping my perspective on life and influencing how I approach my dreams and goals.

‘I WON’T’

Meaning, there is nothing in life that you can’t experience, achieve, transform or transcend  — as long as you’re willing to roll up your sleeves, get in there, and go for it. There is no ‘I can’t’, there is only ‘I won’t’, is the mantra I live by and the key to a joyful life where personal growth is guaranteed.

I have always loved witnessing people become better and grow, and seeing individuals take steps closer to their goals, just fills me up with joy and purpose. For years, I navigated the fast-paced world of corporate management as a product manager — creating products, solving problems, and coaching teams. I thrived and swiftly ascended the career ladder due to my unwavering 'nothing-is-impossible' attitude. I pursued what I believed to be the epitome of success. The days were long, the demands relentless, and the pressure unyielding. It was exhilarating but came at a cost. In 2020, I hit a wall and realised that I no longer wanted to be the person I once was. I decided to let go of the overgiving and overworking version of myself who was stuck in an unfulfilling job.

I have a hunch you’re here because you feel the same way. 

I couldn't envision living like that until retirement. Was that how my life was supposed to be for the next 30 years? The thought alone catalyzed a fundamental change in my life. Thus, I embarked on a healing journey, peeling away the layers of conditioning and programming accumulated over the last three decades of my life. I began to rediscover my true core identity, breaking free from societal expectations and finding my authentic self.

I finally chose to pursue activities I genuinely love and that align with my calling: helping people grow.

There is nothing more fulfilling for me than witnessing individuals thrive and guiding them through the messy but beautiful aspects of their unique journeys. This transformative journey led to the official birth of Evelyn - the coach and entrepreneur.

I’m not perfect and I don’t have all the answers. I make mistakes in life, and have terrible days sometimes and get mired in fear and self-doubt, just like the rest of humanity. Having the tools that I have, help me to quickly get out of it and get into the right mind to achieve what I want to achieve.
